iPhone and iPad · In development

Parallel for the pocket and the stand.

A touch editor for the shop floor, shaped around focused review rather than a shrunken desktop. The same checks, backplot, and proven versions, with programs kept in the Files app.

In the app

The same careful review, sized for the shop floor.

  • The editor, made for touch

Syntax colouring, line numbers, native find and replace, and Go To. Programs open from the Files app and save back where they came from, with a warning if the file changed elsewhere.

  • Backplot and step-through

Mill or Fanuc diameter-lathe centerline motion in isometric, XY, XZ, or YZ, with step-through controls and a scrubber. Each program remembers its machine, view, section, and tool.

  • Checks and machine limits

Advisory Fanuc milling checks, with issue markers in the gutter. Local machine profiles add checks against axis travel, maximum feed, and maximum spindle speed.

  • Modal state at the caret

The modal state follows the caret, in a side panel on iPad and a sheet on iPhone. Each value shows the line that set it.

  • Compare and proven versions

Compare against the saved copy, a backup, another program, or a proven version, with whitespace, comment, and block-number filters. Sign-off history stays on the device.

  • Keyboard-ready on iPad

Hardware keyboard commands for Go To, checks, backplot, stepping, modal state, compare, renumbering, and text utilities.

Backplot and step-through

Mill or Fanuc diameter-lathe centerline motion in isometric, XY, XZ, or YZ, with step-through controls and a scrubber.

Private by design

Works without a network.

Files stay under the access controls of iOS, iPadOS, and the Files provider you choose, inside your existing device-management boundaries.

  • No analytics or tracking
  • No account required
  • No cloud service operated by Parallel
  • No controller connection or program transfer
  • Machine profiles stay on the device

Parallel is an editing and review aid, not a machine simulation or controller. Backplots and checks are advisory and may not represent every controller, macro, offset, cycle, or machine configuration. Always validate a program using your shop’s approved process before running it on a machine.
